Hit the blind's at 5:30 am....same set up as opening day...both of our(Largeone) blind's set up side by side.....if a bird come's into my decoy's in the field to the west of us it's mine... as Largeone does not want to try a shot through the page wire fence with his bow...anywhere else and he will try them.....well as we are getting out of the truck we can hear a gobble it sound's like it's in the feild already ....but it's not it's still in the roost...the gobbles continue while we are getting the decoy's up and getting all set in the blind's...when we are all set largeone give's a little call on his box call just to let him know we are there....a couple minutes later i hear the fly down.....Largeone watches as the turkey fly's down the power line toward's us and into the field on the west of us... :D ....i could not see this as mine blind was set up directly behind the other blind blocking my view in that direction...as i'm sitting there waiting for something to happen ...a gobble or anything to let me know where this bird went......next thing i know it's standing rite next to our blind's about 2 feet from my decoy's..(a hen and a jake)...i really was not ready as my gun was laying on the ground at my feet ....and i was sure the tom would see me if i leaned forward to get it...well it look's like he is going to go into a strutt so i take this oportunity to lean forward and pic it up as his attention seem's to be on the jake....just as my hand's reach the gun i hear the unmistakable sound of the bow being fired....look back at the turkey and it is still standing there but now it's attention is focused on us or atleast where the arrow that flew over it's back came from......apparently at this point largeone is trying to tell me to shoot it...after about the third time he say's the shotty finally goes off and tom #2 for me is doing the floppy turkey less than 10yds from us.... :allright: ...not much more than a half hour hunt... ...

here is some pic's......
