I'm done now, just calling for the rest of the season. Two toms came in silent, not strutting. They passed by my blind at about 5 yrds. I took the first one because I thought they would see me lift the bow. It weighed 20.6 and had a 10.25 beard and a 2.5 beard and 7/8 spurs. the jak hammers and zwickey's performed well. I had to put an O ring behind the zwickey fo more drag with the carbon shaft. I'll post sme pics as soon as I get the disc made.
Good luck everyone!

Congrats Rutman. Even more with the bow, I have shot a few with the bow but still give in to the gun, taking the easier road. Double beared to add to the trophy!!! Congrats!

Great Newfie Hunter

Just wondering what kind of blind you used.I have never hunted from a blind but my friend today spent some cash on some binos and he bought one of those Amerstep original doghouse blinds.I suggested that for him as he cant stay still long enough turkey hunting and smoking also.I think this thing had a zipper door and three windows,I could be wrong,he set it up on my lawn.I guess they work.I would have liked one myself this morning while sitting behind a tree in the rain.

That is the exact blind, I got one with the gun out of it last year and this bird with the xbow this year, it's also not bad for a short axle to axle verticle bow. I'm not sure about how it would be for deer because it stinks. i can smell it for 40 yards if downwind I think it's some form of waterproofing. It really stinks anyway.

Thanks everyone for the congrats, i hope everyone has a great successful season.
