Right on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :allright:
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Here's The Story!!

After verifiing that the Turkeys still roost in the same spot as previous years we hunted in the bush next to the roost only to have the hens take the boys the opposite direction to a farm we do not have permission on. Well I hunted it again up at the field edge with a hen decoy only to have the same results.

In the days between those two hunts I harvested a mature tom on another farm and used his tail feathers to make a real tom tail on my buddies strutter decoy.

Back to the old roost, by myself, I set up in the dark on the field edge with only the tom decoy 10 yards out from me. The roost was about 120 yards down the fence line and about 60 yards in the bush.

Like clockwork the toms gobbled their fool heads off and the hens were with them yelping here and there. I let out a couple of quiet tree yelps. 45 minutes later they started sounding farther away, I started to pack up the vest to go chase 'em then realized that the only reason they sound farther is because they were now on the ground with a hill between us causing them to sound further away - man I'm glad I figured that one out before I did something stupid.

The 2 toms and 3 hens came into the field and could see my decoy, they gobbled, the hens yelped, but all they did was look from about 120 yards away. I let out a few calls but decided to let the decoy do all the work. After bout an hour they drifted on up to the next farm about 250 yards away where I could no longer see them. But I could still faintly hear them gobbling and yelping.

This is when I decided it was time to pick a fight with the hen I did about about 5 minutes of aggresive calling then shut up. It took about 2 minutes and the lead hen had hopped 2 fences, and ran to within 40 yards of me. She wandered around the decoy while the 2 toms took about 15 minutes to strut their way in. Up came the gun and the game was up.
