Did anyone catch the article on this years turkey season being a success in the Toronto Sun over the weekend. It talks about how they think this past spring was a great season to be hunting turkeys. It then states that with the population being plentiful that the proposed fall season is a go, lists the WMU's, and says it's from the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to the second Sunday after Thanksgiving. That the 14-26. Allowed 1 bird of either sex. It also states that is has to be confirmed yet by the MNR. I then see an article in a local paper stating how this past turkey season was a success and it also states that a fall season is a go. Anyone else here or read anything? |

I've heard the rumours for a few months now that there will be a fall turkey hunt, but nothing's carved in stone yet as far as I know? |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

It's a go as far as I know. The WMUs approved are 64, 67, 68, 73, 76, 77, 78, 81, 82, 84, 89, 90, 92, and 93. Here's a link to the media release on OFAH. http://www.ofah.org/News/index.cfm?ID=3&A=GetDoc&DID=410 |

As far as I'd head the Fall season was a go, but only in six WMU's but I might have been wrong. It's definantly not a go in my area this year anyways. I don't really care because at that time of the year I be spending all of my extra time in the Treestand. Oh wait wife is due on the 12th so that is shot right out of the treestand before it starts. I'll have to wait awhile before getting in too it too hard. Matt |

I'm glad to see that the WMU I do most of my deer hunting on isn't included on that list. |

Yeah, not many birds in my area either. They are around, but not anywhere around my areas. |
