Is there any sense in calling in the fall, or is it just luck to be able to get one? |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Yes, I have hunted them for close to 10 years in the fall and in a number of different States. They all work the same in the fall no matter of where you hunt them. Calling in the Fall - You bet Wild Turkeys call in the fall more then in the spring, but what you hear is calls that your not used to hearing. As for hunting them there is a number of different calls that a hunter can do to call birds to a gun range. The Fall hunt boils down to different strategies other then from a typical sprng hunt. The turkey hunter is going to use calls like Assembly Calls, Kee- Kee's and Kee-Kee-Runs, Clucks, Purring, Lost Gobbler yelps are the main calls. Gobblers are not easy taken and are much harder to call to and work... |

The turkeys I encounter while bow hunting whitetail seem to be not quite as wary. They should be very easy to pattern, I see them in the same spots just about every day. They really group up at food sources like cut corn or beans. |
