Well made it out to the wood's again around 4:30 pm with acouple close friend's to try and get them into bird's. Started out scanning the field's but nothing seemed to be in them so off we went for a walk to an area that I knew some tom's were hanging out. We got to where I wanted to be and sat down and I started to do some yelp's and afew min's later spotted a bird moving through the bush, yelped some more but did'nt seem interested so started to do a fighting purr and here they come. 4 tom's came to within 15 yrd's of us and my friend's layed the lead to them. Kind of wish I had waited because we easily could have pulled off a triple. The younger fella in the pic "THAT WILL BE POSTED SHORTLY" hunted for the first time this year and took 2 jake's in the spring 1 of them with me on opening day. I think he's hooked

Addict!!
Craig, good going once again,

what I see in the stats of these birds is that the gobblers seem to be on the light side of the weight department going into the winter. Its interesting because they say that gobblers are the first to parish with winter kills and I could see that with this info.

2 adult gobblers at 3 years old and at 16+lbs is interesting for sure...

You're not paying for a stay at the Hilton, you're paying to participate in nature. Anything can happen.
