Anyone use a 20 guage turkey hunting? How do you like it? How do you like it compared to 12 guage? Anything you don't like about them? Any other opinions?
Pros vs. Cons of using one.

Yes I only use a 20 gauge and would not carry a 12 again. The thing with the 20 is that it takes some testing to understand and learn what will make it a 40 yard turkey killer.

Unlike the 12 , I found that you will need to go to heavy shot to get that extra 10-15 yards in your pattern. You also have to get a choke that will work with your setup and test shells out. Although I am still testing I have found a load/choke combo that will out shoot some 12 gauges at 40 yards.

I have killed about 40 birds now with the 20 gauge and find it is a whole lot lighter to carry and hold...

I won a 20 ga. single shot at a Delta waterfowl Banquet. Got some ammo, but never tried it yet.

Maybe this Spring.

yes i use one to, and it's 100 X better then my super black eagle, lighter no kick i can hold it up for hours and it smokes the pattern that i got out of my black eagle and i tryed about 15 different chokes and every ammo i could find. Bt told me about heavy 13 and to go with .555 precision arms and it's now a kill en machine and reaches out pass 50 yards thanks rob.
