Im not sure about any of those blinds but if you are thinking of using a blind I would get it out to your location a few days before the hunt to get them use to it being there.

I use a Ground MAx one which I bought from Basspro a couple years ago and find its a great one. You can spend up to $500.00 on a double bull but I don't think you have to. The groundmax is very sturdy, doesn't flap in the wind or have a shiny finish like some of the cheaper ones. Sets up in seconds also. If you bowhunt make sure you get the larger version and quite frankly I see no reason to go with the smaller one anyway. The big one will enable you to bring a kid and still shoot comfortably. I think I paid @ $230.00 for mine at Basspro. By the way the 2 best bucks I have taken were from that blind and they never even looked up at it before getting shot !!!!!

Agree 100%!

I have the exact same blind and there is plenty of room for 2 adults. I took a turkey from mine last year.

I have a Double Bull Matrix and love it. Quick and quiet to set up and great camo pattern. I have been able to set it up under 75yds from roosted birds w/out spooking them. I know there are cheaper models out there but this is the one I chose. Here is a pic a bird I took last year. I set the blind up in the wide open about 100yds from this bird roosted. He came in 10 min after legal.

Good luck with your decision and with your bird.

I use an Ameristep Bully blind. Had a Doghouse not enough room for bow hunting. The bully has lots of room. Great blind easy set up and takedown. Take a look at the new Tom taker blind from Ameristep. Has great windows for bow hunting.

Hope this helps

I have an easton blind that I used for deer a bit. I don't have much patience for sitting in a blind. I will probably try the blind for a bit and then use natural cover for when I move.

I use the Ameristep Brickhouse in Mossy Oak camo. I did a quick little count and my friends and I have killed 9 birds out of this blind in 4 years. Two doubles, 7 birds with shotgun and 2 with compound bows. Also numerous other possible kills if shotgun was in hand. Without the ground blind I'm sure we wouldn't have been as successful.
I carry the blind in and out with me on each hunt. In certain situation I might set it up the night before. With good scouting before season I have a good idea of where my blind locations will be before I hunt. As long as the setup is done properly the birds won't get spooked. With my paticular blind I always get it backed into cover. Then it's just a matter of getting the birds into range.
Here are a few birds that have been killed from the blind.

I hope this helps and good luck.

I've tried for a couple of years now to get a bird without using a blind, with bow of course. Just kept on getting busted, real close a couple of times. Its definately doable but i've opted to use the blind exclusively this season
I had a ground max blind last year. The blind was real easy to set up, fast, quiet. Like Terry said, not shiny, doesn't blow around and most importantly for me anyways is that its a hub style blind not one of those contorted spring crazy deals. That being said, Road can whip one of those spring babys up in a second and take it down just as quick. Not me though.
I did however make the mistake of getting the smaller one. The escape i think was the model, whichever one is the smaller version. Was just too small for bow in my opinion. I also have a camera with me, tripod and like to hunt with other guys to film, just too tight.
Also, they have some models that have magnetic windows. Velcro and zippers are pretty loud. The magnetic windows are awesome.
I will be buying the ground max this spring before turkey starts.
If i had a ample supply of free roaming cash looking to be spent i'd probably buy a double bull. I think the ground max is the next best thing.

I have 2 double Bull Matrix 360's and havnt paid more then $250.00 for any of them. I purchased two ground max blinds two years ago. Not near the quality as the Matrix, less visibility, cheaper quality material, more apr to get wet in the rain, leaky seams. I took both back to Cabela's for full refund. In my opinion, there is no comparison between the two.

Shop around abit and dont be in a hurry, you'll find a Matrix bargin sooner or later.
Also, the T5 by Dbl Bull is a great ground blind for the archer and has a nice price tag to it. Look them up on ebay.

I've used the ground max for a few years now. Very dependable and has assisted in a couple of Toms going down for count.

The ground max vision is the blind that i'm going to look at. you can get them for 180.00 US.
If i could get a matrix for 250.00cdn, i'd be all over it. In fact, if anyone comes across that price please pm me, i'm in.

I have and ground max escape and it works great I harvested an gobbler from it and my buddys nephew took his first gobbler from it also last spring.

Works awesome lots of room in it for two adults with compounds and other gear.

Anyone have any ground blind recomendations for a photographer?

Room isnt as much an issue, but ease of set-up/take down and weight is. Also, because I don't hunt (yet) 100% of my shooting is on public property. Meaning setting up and leaving it are not in the equation.

I'm really tempted by the Ameristep Dog house. Would seem to offer good views (larger windows), roomy enough and portable enough. Not sure how it might hold up in wind or rain though.

Also wonder how much the sudden of appearance of a blind on the edge of a marsh (waterfowl), field (deer, turkey, predators) etc will impact the game. I've considered stake downs ( those 2 foot walls) but suspect they might be a waste.
