Perry, I know most video/DVD's on the market are put out for advertizment of How well a Companies Products work and this is what we do with our products in the woods in one video/dvd. The value of Learning is near lost in the gain of producing more kills on tape then the next company out there. Primo's like to place kills on their tapes and they have a large team videoing all across North America that can produce these such kills. Most of their video/DVD's are kill after kill in different places, but the viewer gets to see country and terrain that they normaly don't see. They make good productions if you are the type that likes to see different places and States with different Sub Species. Primo's is not the only company that has headed for this direction, near every company on the market has done the same thing. It is hard for the beginner or hunter that has only a few year under his or her belt to learn from Dvd's anymore as a lot that needs to be known is cut out to make room for the next kill shot. This is why I took my Dvd into a different level and targeted a Learning Dvd. I commend Video's on my experence of Turkey Hunting from back in the late 80's and 90's as that was one of the only ways to learn here in Ontario. The first one I bought was $79.50. As it is I have well over 100 Wild Turkey Hunting Video's and DVD's that I kepted over the years. I do not collect them anymore as they have changed so much that all I see is Kill after Kill after Kill and never seem to pick up that tip of How that hunter got the bird into gun range. When it comes to these productions a hunter this day has to ask himself " What am I after ? in a DVD" Watching Kills or Learning the Ropes

Great Answer Adrian.I would say for myself that a good "Learning" dvd is more important than watching different kills on different terrian.I will admit that its alot of fun just watching the actual hunts though. |
