After spending a large amount of money two weeks ago to try to fix him, after 4 days in the vet for multiple tests and on IV for 48 hrs, we got him back home for two more weeks and that was it. As of 2:00 pm this afternoon, Peanut, is no longer with us. His health started to deteriorate and could no longer hold in any food or water. Vet said that he was shutting down. I fed him some left over venison roast last Wednesday and that was his last meal that he was able to hold in. From there, he went downhill with the eating, but was strong enough to take that last walk with me. Took him for his last walk down the Ottawa River Parkway bike/walking path before taking him for that last drive to the vet. We decided to have him cremated and his ashes put into an oak urn until we decide where we're gonna spread them. Crazy, maybe, but he was a big part of our family for being such a little guy. He will be missed and not only by us. He will also be missed dearly by the grandchildren. He did leave us with close to 10 years worth of great memories to look back on. I know in my heart that we did the right thing for him. Farewell, little buddy.

Sorry to hear about that Mike, been there myself and it sucks. |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end
