At 3:30am I watched as the Vet take Brooke out of her pain,

She was and still is the most honorable and loyal hunting partner I have ever hunted with !!!

She will be buried along the Vermilion river where she belongs with her hunting stuff and part of me with her.

She was the biggest reason why I waterfowl hunted .

Sorry for your loss, I lost my 2 a couple of years back within a month of each other. They were 15 and 16 when they passed and I had them since pups. Only thing that helped me, to a degree, was time.

An sad day for sure for you. I feel your pain.

I stopped waterfowl hunting over 10 years ago because I had been having such bad luck with my hunting partners had went through two and the third was on her way out when I called it quiets.

Sorry to hear about Brooke. Put my lab down 5 years ago and haven't duck hunted since. When you say you hunted more for the dog than yourself ,I know exactly what you mean. Time will heal.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. It's a tough thing to get through, but hold the memories close and it does get easier with time.

Been there enough times, myself, to know how you and your family must be feeling at this time. I still think of the dogs I had as far back as 20+ years ago, which had to be put down either due to illness, or old age.

R.I.P. Brooke. She's now free to do all the hunting she wants...

I always felt that you don't know what too say when someone has someone dear too them pass.

I understand now that it's the expression put forward by friends and strangers that understand that means something and you all have made this easier

Thank You
Ray

Sorry for your loss. It is so tough to lose a good dog. They do so much and ask us for so little.

Great name for a dog by the way!
