Could be. I just post em as I find em and report what I have learned. I have pictures of definate "high fenced bucks" and I'll post some of them as well. It is just cool looking at all the diferent configerations a rack can take.....Thanks for the reply.

no, I don't think those pictures are doctored. They use the "long-arm" technique to make the rack look bigger and more impressive. Check out the Winter issue of OMW magazine for a buck that looks very similar, only without the long arm. I'm suspicious of the score but I certainly could be wrong. Pictures are hard to judge from. |

Nice, massive rack regardless! |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Hey Paul I think that we can thank Chuck Adams for the "long-arm" technique. Still a very impressive deer.

Look at the different backgrounds, and who could hold up such a massive buck with his finger? Beautiful buck, wish we knew real story... |

Scott Yetman was guiding for Diamond Willow Outfitters last fall, and was rewarded by being allowed to go on a hunt of his own. This giant buck was the result, and is reported to be Scott's first deer ever! Reports are that it will score approximately 190 as a typical, but it has not yet been officially entered. Not a doctored photo, got this from B&C trophy watch. Shot in 2006 |

that is quite a long arm picture. The deer is in Alberta and the guy is from New Brunswidk. They must have really long arms in the Maritimes. |

Great buck but a little creative photography at play. Not that they are doctor'd just a bit of distortion due to getting close up on the deer with a wide angle lens and the hunter being placed further behind the deer. Makes the closer subject "the deer" look enormous. Hunting magazine and Craig Boddington were always notorioius for using this trick. To put into perspective, look at the size of the man's head vs the size of th der head? Deer just don't have skulls that big. |

Thats a truly awesome typical. I have no idea why they long armed the photo's either, with measurements like that the thing will look huge any which way.
