Erca ended up planting 1,800 seedlings and added noreway spruce to the mix.I'm offically off the books,but the forester is going to take care of me in the future lol))) .He has some different trees in mind if and when they become available woohoo .
I handed in my forestry plan for the next 10 years.It's up to the authority to complete their end by June 30. :cheers: Brent j..

Great Posts here. I could read these all day.

I couldn't believe it.The area I had planted in 2006 one of the white acorns produced a few nuts this year.

That's amazing, and virtually unheard of for any oak, let alone a standard white. You've got a one of a kind there. I'd be collecting those acorns and figuring out a way to proprogate more of them.

This is a great programme. I am part of the Ontario 50milloin tree programe. I had 4000 trees planted on my property at the beginning of this month. They came in and planted them and it cost me a whopping 600 bucks. They will be in next week to spray the grass/weeds around them.

Joey,I talked to a biologist.He said it might have been stress that caused it to produce nuts.I'm doing a servey of the trees in the fall.I'll know one way or the other.
Good for you Corman.What kind of trees did you have planted :allright: Brent j..

Lol,it was close.Their's only one approver for this area and he was working on two other programs for other people.Well he got it done a few days late and sent in the application.I received comfirmation from the wood lot association. 49.9 acres has been reclassified in the MFTIP.The Ministry of Natural Resources are sending in a confirmation Letter with my plan number.I'm starting to trim the trees this year to put some hight on them.Brent j..

It's that time again.For some strange reason the "L" parcel,125 x1000 isn't doing so well.We might have to hill and mound this area.
Yesterday No tail brought 11 does to the pond to feed.The snow is almost gone.Initially,I put out a ground blind last year to reroute the deer not,lol.
i bought plywood up north to buid two blinds a ground blind for turkey and a raised one for deer.

I lost a few more pines this past year.We got swamped with rain and killed the roots.Some of the pines are still very small(putting roots down).The deer are moving freely thought the day and feeding on the different food sources.We took a few deer last year;

I have to give the biologist a tongue lashing. Apparently, I don't have all the oak trees. Some of the trees are bushes from all the browsing. Brent
