Yeah, maybe Scooter, yourself and I could get together and build a couple. I have a big farm disc we could chop down, and there's enough discs on it to make a few of them. Definitely something to think about. |

richo and lonewolf , I`m sure we can build one at very little cost,I`ve been thinking of a few different ideas, one would be a compact disc and the other would be a spring tooth harrow type ,I`ve already have one spring tooth just neeed to make some calls to find some more.I`m sure if we put our heads together we can come up with a decent product, might take a few beers but it will work.. |

As long as the are is free of trees and stumps, I've used a set of harrows and went over it a thousnad times.....seemed to work pretty good. |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Well, if we did make one or two units extra it would pay for the steel tubing and other steel and hardware that we may need to fabricate them. hmmmm... Will have to discuss that with the others! |

If we do decide on making an extra one or two of them, they will be sold unpainted. Still have to discuss it with Scooter as to what he thinks we could do with this. |

Hey guys! Just a little input here. Those who know me well know me as a food plot fanatic. I've been doing doing them in remote areas for 8 years now. I'd caution all against the disc that pulls behind an ATV. They simply dont have the weight to dig in. The tend to glide across the surface of the soil and not dig in. especially in dryer soils. In remote areas I've had good luck with a HARROW DRAG. Check it out on Cabelas Website. Right around $400 USD. On one side of the drag are 5 inch long steel spikes. The purpose here is to tear up the top soil. Once to tear up the soil and fertilize and plant, you need to PACK the soil. Simply flip the drag over and it acts as a CHAIN LINK fence if you will, compacting the soil. It measures 4 ft x 4ft. Cost is around $300-$400 USD. Its my handiest tool for remote food plot areas. Any questions dont be afraid to send me a pm. Good luck guys! |

If you take it easy, and have some decent soil to work with, it might be ok. But I would emphasize the take it easy and take your time with a machine of that size but it will work. 600's are optimal in my opinion. |

I was at Bass Pro today and they are selling a disc unit for $500 and change. Looks pretty good but would require good sized bike. Looks pretty well built. Never seen it there before. |

Hi... I have 1 of the pull behind Disc Units with the wheels. It's still in the box. I'll let it go for $500 even. I can deliver it, if not too far away from Buckhorn. Here's the link on Kijiji http://peterborough.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-se...QAdIdZ313118590
