Checked my plot I sprayed about two weeks ago with Roundup and 2-4D. She's all brown. It gets turned up next week and seeded, weather permitting. We've had a torrential downpour every day almost for the last 2 weeks. Just hoping it dries up enough to get my tractor in.

round up only last for a few days on green plants where 24d will last up to 4 weeks in the soil. therefore if you plant anything that has the same cell structure as broad leaf weeds it will kill them as they germanate. just thought i would give you a heads up

Good info to know, thanks. But by the time i get around to discing, chain harrowing and then seeding with the way the rain/weather has been, I'll be well within that time limit.

Mow there's an offer eh !

I think my seeds are decided on. Because we need to suppress weeds on the new plowed plots this year in preparing them for clover and chicory /alfalfa next year. dwarf essex rape and tillage radish will be going in this year.

I wanted to do beans and some other stuff but in reality,,, our need is to kill weeds. No permission to use round up ect.

Again to the land owner ,,,,,, Yes sir. ! :allright:

Why not just use one of these, with Glyfos, by,by, weed's. 300 ft. of hose , wand that spray's 6 ft. wide, hard to beat, unless your into BIG time spraying. :hick:

So with the horrible weather this last month and a bit, I finally got around to discing up this plot and throwing down some seed (Oregon Sweet Peas and Sugar Beets). Both inner and outer rings done now. She's all up to mother nature now.
