Did up this river plot behind my house. Not big but the deer are here every noght because of an old mineral lick I've had going for 6 years now. She's exactly 172 yards from the back overhang of my shop   Did it up without roundup because I was bored. Took the tiller to it between beers. Threw down some soybeans and some field peas I had left over. Basically just love seeing the deer on this plot, a cool 12 pt'er, with forked G3's frequents it.

Great Looking Plot. I hope you have other food sources close bye (bigger plots ) if the deer are there every night all night they will wipe that small plot out before it gets going.

Here is that buck that hangs around this plot. There are several other very large plots in the neighbourhood that keep the deer in a good mood. This one is one of those outts the way ones that they hit like 3-4 times a week, but the does hang around all the time.

Wow!

I hope he's still around! That is a great looking buck, I'm looking forward to seeing this year's trail cam pictures.
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, that buck floats around I'll tell ya. Actually those pics were taken approx. 8 km's away from that plot. I have only ever gotten velvet pics of him on that plot behind my place. I'll try to post them asap, just doing at overtime shoft at work.

That is really sweet. I have a small plot like this too, but I have to admit using round up. I was going to attach my pictures but couldn't quite figure out how to do that :(

Yeah Renegade, here is the velvet pics of the same buck. These pics were taken on this plot, right at an old mineral like I top up every year.

Nice. Now you've got my attention.

Always thought numerous small plots surrounded by cover were much better than one big plot in a wide open field.

Hope you get to put your hands on that big boy later this fall!
