Last year, I sprayed a section of old road on my property and frost seeded this spring with ladino and red clover. The area is sheltered and on the way to my main food plot areas. I have a stand in the general vicinity and a mineral lick about 50yds from it with a camera on it. Anyway, all summer, I haven't got any pics of bucks except yearlings on the mineral lick and main plots. I always thought they moved into the area in October. my brother came over and we changed up camera locations and put it on the hidden plot and voila.....the bucks are here......just laying low:![]() There's nothing fancy about this mini plot. I'll have to mow it because there's grasses and weeds, but I'll wait for next year. I put a blind on the north side so that I can hunt this if we happen to get a south wind. This pic gives a better daylight view:
