I think these will work ? Again cheep coop seeds. See the trail cam thread to see if the deer and Moose and bears and sand hill cranes like whats in there. Peas are ready to pod as long as the deer don't eat it all first. They have the pea plants used as borders on other plots almost all gone already. Again I wish this did better LOLOLOLOL ::) ![]() ![]() Now onto a brassica radish plot that is very busy with traffic. ![]() ![]() Inked ,,, notice anything in this picture ? ;D ![]() Then we have the wifes plot,,, Again Radish Brassica with oats and peas zig zagged in to break it up. ![]() ![]() You don't need to be on the biologic team or in the dream season to provide animals in your bush with a great opportunity to eat some high protein high energy food . Do some soil work and some effort ,,, asking about who might be able to do some plowing and disking at a cheep cost ect ect. Worth thinking about. P.S. The field peas are so far a better draw for deer then anything I have seen yet. So far they beat brassica,,, soya beans,,, alfalfa ,, clovers ect ect.

Those plots are looking excellent! How many acres do you have planted? I definitely have to make sure the co-op has peas in stock next year. I had to do without this season............ |

That is amazing. If you looked at the fields I planted you would laugh. It was a tough year for planting around Emo. It has been so dry this summer. Great great work Ray.

Must have been a mature buck that took a bite from that radish. I can tell by the teeth marks. Great looking plots. Looks like you've got the food plots down to a science. Hopefully all that hard work will get you a chance at a great buck. Willy |

Not sure yet but they are still eating the plants. I don't think I will get pods this year as I might have planted too late. Lesson's learned

So, it looks like you planted some straight peas, and then did a mix with oats too through the brassicas as well? What size are the ones you planted with oats and did you plant them the same time as the plot with straight peas? |

I did some peas on there own,,, as well some with oats . I did not mix the brassica with the oats. Everything was planted at the same time . Hope this helps.
