I think you would be better advised to try and fertilize the natural vegetation on crown lands you hunt. Such as Black & Raspberry, mast producing trees, ect.. |

If memory serves me right, I had a conversation a few years ago with Steve Elmy from Rackstacker. He used to have a mix that was specifically meant for hand telecast on trails which would be similar to your question. I can't remember what all was in the mix but I did get a free sample and tried it around my "honey hole". I can't say I had great results but I am in a very well drained soil (donnybrook) which has large cobbles and very little topsoil cover. Moisture regime is a big issue there. It's pretty hard to get anything to produce without a lot of attention and care. You could always check the Rackstacker website and find out about the mix. In my experience Steve is very easy to get along with. |

make sure u get a min of 4 hrs of sunlight, i have tried clover and rye and worked ok...i may have to trim a few branches next year cause sunlight is my biggest issue and leaf cover in the fall...my strip is a atv trail about 70 yrds long ...watched many rabbits and partridge on a couple of sits but deer were only going thru during night time |

sunlight is restrictive, dpends upon leaf cover. Im going to use rackstacker it seemed to work the best but were also feeding every other hungry critter around. |
