I'm getting all the stuff together Di- calcium phoshate, trace mineral salt the red and loose kind, and stock salt, I have read posts in the past that say you are not to mix it until your going to be using it, my question is why do you have to wait to mix it why can't it be mixed like now put into buckets and use it when ever you want ? , any advise would be very much apprieciated. I just put up a really nice stand, did some brush thining all around, and picked up a new trail cam primos truth 35, now I'm just waiting for the right time to put the minerial site out and trail cam. |

Right on. Your doing a lot of things that will help you keep a lot of deer around! Where did you find all the right ingredients? I have always had to mix and match to some extent. You will be putting out your mix soon. Depending on where you are you might be able to get it out there now. lol. If you keep lids air tight I can't see why you couldn't mix them. Easy enough to mix it when you need it too though. Good luck with the Primos truth cam. Welcome to the forum.

The recipe is easy enough to find, the hard part is finding all the ingredients, I'd like to know where you purchased them from also |

Yes, it is the same stuff but it is 3x the price. I paid $70 for 100kg (220 lbs). That's why the gang is asking about making your own from a co-op. If you just want to put 25 lbs out once a year, the sweetlix will meet your needs and the price is right. |

I still think that the Trace mineral (Red in color) smell's and look's the same as the Rack Stacker mineral, if not it is very close.

I got the exact mineral recipy from this site, it will show you the exact mixture and everything that you need. I built a new stand close to a nice pond/swamp and did alot of brush cutting all around it, in the woods, and put a mineral site in shooting distance from it and the deer simply love it.I put it out March 21 and I plan on adding more to it the end of July sometime, hope this helps. |

IMHO, you're not baking a cake with it. I don't think you can make the wrong mix. I just put out equal parts of each and I have not received a single complaint yet. |
