Yes, along with clover. Chicory got choked out by the clover after 3-4 years. Disked it under and planted brassica. Excellent in sandy soils and for droughty hot summers, deep root system. The chicory stays green while the clover dries up during a hot and dry summer. My deer ate some of the chicory but mostly clover. I'm sticking with just clover, fall rye mixture and brassica. You never know, your deer might go crazy for it. Friggs |

I feel it's a type of plant that goes well with others. Kind of a side dressing, if you have some real sandy gravelly ground that other stuff doesn't grow well on... Mid july/Aug they eat it... Lives for ever... |

I miss wrote... I wouldn't mix it with other plant's like clover... Keep it by itself... Also it is very expensive, but lives for ever... I even tried to take mine out with round up and it came back... There are different types. The one from the Whitetail institute is a better more tastey type of plant... |
