Anyone here make a man made waterhole for the deer?
Maybe in a secluded area with a plot and mineral site, kinda like a smorgasborg for the deer?
Got a good spot picked out for a plot but not much for water in the general visinity, thinking on digging a fairly deep hole and lining it up with heavy black plastic and throwing some earth in,hold water year round and help draw more deer into the area with a plot and mineral site :tractor:
I thought I was wrong once,But I was mistaken

Great plan Jason. I have seen plotters do this and it is a great addition. It is not something I need in my area but there are plenty of areas that could use this add.

I turned a mud hole on one of my trails near a food plot into a water hole by back dragging with the tractor bucket. It's littered with tracks in the summer months. I've got lots of water around the property but the small water hole right near the food source seems to be a hit.

Add a little trace mineral in the water and see if pic's increase, just a thought.
