Ive cleared out an area inside the bush a bit to try a plot. i removed some small trees and undergrowth and now have myself a nice grass/weedy circle. after talking to the farmer a couple times he still wont alow any machinery back there to help with this. Im curious as to how i can work up this ground and kill these weeds and grasses so my plot will be able to grow and not be choked out come fall. I will be using a hoe and small tools like that but dont know how to get rid of the grasses in the plot area..
thanks in advance

A strap on the back sprayer should work for you. Fill the container with Roundup or other weed killer and spray with a hand held wand.

If you can spray ,, That will help.

If you can mow, Mow the crap out of it like it was your lawn.

Plant brassica the first year in late summer. Brassicas help control weeds.

you need a min of 4 hrs of sunlight to grow most stuff and if there is heavy leaf production it may smother your plot in the fall...

x3 on round-up. this will make your life much easier. As mentioned - if you don't have sunlight you're going to have very limited results.
