Hi guys first time posting , been reading a lot on here since I heard about it and I must say I'm extremely happy there's a discussion place for local Ontario people! Anyways I have a good area and have good amount of deer in my forests ,i just want to have a well fed herd lol and am going to be starting into the plots. I am in a cedar and poplar forest with about a full acre of grass and dogwood at the back of the property with full sun all day,I back on to a sod farm and a old soy field ( soy field has not been used for 3 years now) its just grass , I've been thinking of keeping it basic and thinking of planting white clover with chicory?? To add I'm in a forest that's about 200 acres and they bed constantly in my forest we call a certain area the bedding grounds lol I do have them here all the time. I don't have access to a plow or farm machinery but have just a rototiller, any help well be very appreciated !

Welcome

First , Don't cut the cedar and dogwood. Excellent food for deer as well as habitat.

I would try to plant brassica first year and then go with your clovers ! Brassica will help with the weed problems for your clover plots.

Welcome to the forum. :howdy:

Sounds like you have a wonderful property. Sometimes a sketch or google earth picture of your property will help some of the more seasoned plotters here with some helpful advice and ideas.

Good luck!
