Thunderstorms rolled through last night... only 6mm.

Long range forecast, for the long weekend looks promising.

No sign of life from the Brassica's yet.

It has been fairly dry up here in NW Ontario as well. My plans for planting some late season plots are on hold for now.

My beans and peas haven't done a thing. We have only had 8mm of rain all July in Hanover. 30-40mm south of us and 50-60mm north of us. We just keep getting missed.

What is rain? Even again tonight it rained all around us but none here. I am eagerly waiting for a better forecast before I cast any more seeds to the dirt. My clover plot gave up right when the seeds sprouted so I am not wasting my brassica seeds yet.

We ended up w/ about an hour of rain this afternoon. Bit of a surprise as the forecast was for rain this evening.

Not sure of the amount that fell, but there were puddles in the flat areas of the woodlot afterwards.

SW Ontario Lambton Kent area had about 4 inches of rain 18 19 20 of July maybe 1/2 inch since and some of the rain was was very spotty .Crops are doing well here but 60 miles east of us it is still dry and at risk .Some local damaging winds came with the main rains earlier in the month but over all we are very blessed compared to other ares this summer :CanFlag: :hick:

woohoo Woke up to big puddle's in the yard today. woohoo
I think we still need more.
This being a long weekend, I hope that the cottager's don't think that with this little bit of rain they can have outdoor fire's.
Their is a fire ban still in effect, but there are still people out there that are not listening.

Getting more rain now as well but went I bet 2 months with only 10mm of that stuff you all speak of. Beans and peas are stunted in growth but doing better now.
