All is good !

Went out with Mac to put out the cams, check the plots and put up his blind on"HIS foodplot.
4 year old whith his own Brassica plot

We checked out this plot that the deer have eaten to the ground. Beans and peas are almost all gone but the corn and the few radish we have in there are doing ok.
Deer have started on the corn.

As I said , beans and peas are smashed.

But the deer tracks are everywhere in here !!

This is the new plot we "just" got in , in late Augest that he is hunting on. We started to get enough rain to allow this to work out. It is slow but now we have something that will draw deer in for him !

Looks really good considering the dry summer we had. Any trail cams set up to see if any big boys have been eating?

All my cams were dedicated to bear baits but now there back in there. Judging from the tracks we saw ,,, ;)

Looking great bigr. Like your title states it was a tough year for food plotting on barr creek acres. Although success in some areas of my plot projects. The last pic was on a small plot with bigr mix, unfortunately seeds that were in direct sunlight did not do so good . On drought map my property was in the very low category.

Yup there isnt much you can do but hang up some kinda shade this year and install a water springler system lol)))

deerfarmers sunflowers did well as well but they were a little think from what he was telling me . Shaded everything else out. Keep us up to speed on the radishes.

Over all, my brassicas were a complete bust......drought. Most of them were stunted or dried up. I overseeded rye into them towards the end of August and I've got some green going. Also have the clover/rye/oats plot that is looking good so not a total failure!
