I bought a bag of this on sale last time I was down to Gander Mtn. in NY, put it out near the end of March and the deer are going mad over it...I got another site started to, but I don't have a camera on it, had to pull the cameras from the mineral sites to use them for turkey scouting :)

No snow...that's just not right. :cold:

Deer love minerals in early spring! Important time for them to repenish minerals and vitamins used up over the winter.

I wish I could get out and start some mineral licks!

I would need my snowmobile/snowshoes and a shovel just to find a spot.

This winter is starting to get to me. :crazy2:

Yeah it kind of does swamp....but I assure you it ain't! The stuff has an almost sickening sweet smell too it, must be the ground up sugar beets in it or something....although I'm not complaining cause the deer seem to love it!

i usually use the brown salt blocks from the garden center but for the same price i picked up one of those last year cabelas bargin corner for dirt cheap and they worked great.....they never went on sale last year so i be using my cheap blocks
