Here is a picture from google earth of the property I have for deer and moose hunting. Its 340 acres. I have a couple of clover plots and a small brassica plot going in this year. There is a hunt camp we rebuilt roughly in the center of the property. I've used a chainsaw and cut a real nice quad trail part way in. But I've been thinking about getting it logged mostly to open in up and be able to use the old logging roads and landings to get around and put in more stands and make some more food plots. I hoping to do it this winter. It just takes so long to do it all with a chainsaw. So I was board and thought I would make a little map and try and get some ideas and advice on what you would do with the area and where you would have trails and log landing put in. Where the farm house is its pretty much an open field with a bit of cover but its still to open from the road around the first food plot so I want to plant tree and close off the view from the road and also some trees in between the first clover plot and the cabin. We also dug a little pond besides the first clover plot which get a lot of traffic. Let me know what you think.![]()
