Here is a question for you plotters out there. I over seeded my plots with clover last fall and it grew real nice this spring and summer. The bears and deer are hitting it real hard. Do I need to mow it shorter or just leave it be?

It would be better to mow, the deer like the new shoots after you cut, the less stem there is the better for attracting deer . I mow my clover plots 3 or 4 times a year. Mowing will stimulate new growth also.

Definitely mow...I mow mine a couple times a summer, but make sure to do so before a rain as mentioned above....I also fertilize in early September before a rain.
