Something went wrong, planted our Kale over a month ago and nothing came up, weird. I hope i was not supposed to mix it with occulent like you do with bean's. Any suggestions ?

To much moisture will cause it problems. Too much rain after seeding ? Kale in your area should be planted around now. Not too late to redo. |

We didn't get any rain for a week or so after. Oh well, it was just a small patch at the end of the plot anyway. I'll get a pic posted in a week or 2 of the plot.

Kale doesn't require inoculant it's not a legume, actually Kale is a brassica. How deep did you place your seed ? Did you plant your Kale alone or with a mixture ? Kale should be planted 1/2 inch deep or surface planted on to bare soil and packed. Its possible that birds, turkeys ate your seed. If your Kale fails, you still have time to throw down rye/oats/clover for this fall and next spring. Friggs |
