As a QDMA member when you thread on that site the name Lickcreek is synominous with food plotting . Lickcreek AKA Paul Knox is well know within the parameters of the world, art, act of food plotting on this OTB site he has been labelled the food plot king and it is with good reason that he will forever hold this title. I do not personally know Paul although I have had some interactions through E-Mails where my questions have been answered regarding food plotting. He has helped out thousands of QDMA and other members of other sites without asking anything in return and I mean helped out answering a simple question with pages of info.

Paul in Jan 2013 had the misfortune of being diagnosed with ALS Lou Gerhigs disease and while this disease progressed Paul continued to do what his passion has lead him to do and that is to help others, in the passion that some of us share and that is making our whitetail woods all it can be. My passion is making my property just that, Paul's passion is helping others 100 % achieve that. Paul's condition that was kept secret for a long time was brought up by a friend on the QDMA site that could no longer remain silent about his condition. Paul continued to help others while living with his condition til he could no longer type with his one hand. Now Paul's situation medical bills has left him and his family in dire straits. The outreach program that Paul was a part of has started a donation fund that goes directly to Paul and his family.Money raised for Paul and his family in a day and a half of this going public is $4300. My goal here is to acknowledge a good man that has helped me out and thousands of outdoorsmen with their passions. Maybe our thoughts and prayers could be directed to Paul and his family.

Read this post and followed up on outreach outdoors. Terrible news. Paul has helped my habitat management program immensely with his sound and common sense advice and I've pretty much adopted his techniques. He's spent 100's of hours writing info on the internet about food plots and habitat management with no expectation of profit or compensation. Great guy and a wealth of information. I'll be giving something back by contributing to the dbltree fund. Thanks for the heads up bars creek.

A lot of people have answered the call to help out our brother Paul Knox AKA LICKCREEK AKA DOUBLTREE and some of the medical expenses that he needs for his disease. I am happy to say that a lot of caring sportsmen ,food plotters, QDMA members have made Paul's and his family struggle a little more bearable . One of the QDMA members made a goal of $11 000 to help him out in buying a few necessities that he needed to cope with ALS. If there was ever a guy that deserved to be touched by the generosity of strangers it is the guy that has helped out so many of us sportsmen with our passion and ask nothing in return. Wow $33 000 dollars has been raised for Paul Knox.

If you look at the seed blends a lot of the buck on the bag companies are using now, a lot came as a result of dbltrees posts on iiowa, michigan whitetail forums and the qdma forum. I think he's the one who pioneered the use of daikon in food plots......now a lot of companies have lit in their mixes.
I've been a follower for about 5 or 6 years and feel sick about what's happening to him. He offered all his advice, experience etc for FREE.
