When seeding oats mixes what is the best do you think? Late June, early July planting dates:
Oats & alfalfa mix, Oats & winter peas, Oats& Brassica ex: Rape, radish, turnip

I have done oats overseeding clover and it did quite well on a small 1/3 acre plot in NW Ontario. Worked up area with quads. I also overseeded oats on clover and alfalfa and that did fantastic as well. That was on about 2 acres done by tractor. In both cases planting was done in early to mid June. Not sure if that helps at all? What are you planning for this year.

Why I'm asking is I seeded oats once side by side with corn& soybeans6-8 acre plot.. Oats was not touched .
This year my neighbor across the road broke up a 30 acre old hay meadow, he put oats in.
He had about 17 deer a night. Most of the deer feeding on my side jumped across over there.
I had nice corn cobs, radishes...
I don't know if he had a mix with it. As of last week they still were hitting the standing oats.
The only wild card is that he has about 80 acres of willow adjacent where I think the bucks & does were holding up in there breeding.
That doesnt make any sense to continue through out Dec though. So I was planning on maybe giving oats a try again...
