I thought this would be an interesting concept. What is the Best musical live performance you have ever been to?

The Best Concert I ever attended was actually in London, the band was R.E.M., and they were amazing. The year was 2006 and I went the day after I graduated High School. It was a great concert.

The worst live performance I ever saw was the Black Eyed Peas at Nuremburg in 2003. They were just horrible live.

The funniest concert I have ever been to was the Sean Patrick Morrissey Concert when he came to Pittsburgh in late 2009. See men in their 20's and 30's crying rivers of tears and being beat down by security as they constantly tried to rush the stage for a 50 year old singer was quite hilarious. Morrissey himself was an excellent performer at the concert, but his music is a unique taste, look him up if you've never heard of him, you may like him.

I liked Irish Blood, Engish Heart by Morrissey. can't say im a fan of much else of his stuff :/

Best concert I've ever been to is ALTER BRIDGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

myles is a God.

If I was gay (which im not) it would be for him

They had 1 support, who were alright. And we normally get around2-3 support, but having only 1 support meant more alter bridge! So win! The guys came on, Manchester went ape shit. And don't even get me started on metalingus...... it was fuckign mental people moshing EVERYWHERE, and then Ties that Bind was even more immense!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Myles interacted with the crowd extremely well and Mark's solos were astonishing. They mixed their old stuff with new stuff and ended with isolation. Here's the set list freak:

http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/alter-bridge/2010/manchester-academy-manchester-england-bd50dca.html

There werent even any mosh pits which surprised me lol, everyone just headbanged like a mad man when metalingus came on. Ending the show on a more gentle pace, Myles played "Watch over you" and then had a duette with Mark, before going. "That's enough of that shit let's rock out" and then playing isolation and ending on rise today.

Overrall an amazing gig. Defo see Alter Bridge live when they go USA, I never realised how talented they were before 10/10 An I got a tour tshirt woot XD

Irish Blood English Heart is his best song as a solo artist. Ironic that is your favorite, haha.

He was better with the Smiths.

This Charming Man, Ask, A Rush and a Push, Please Let me Get what I want, Girlfriend in a Coma and Hand in Glove are probably his best songs.

Like I said it's a unique taste of music.

Best concert for me by far was U2 in Chicago during the 360 tour last fall (which is actually still continuing). Other than being one of my favs, they just put on a tremendous show with so many people being there and an amazing/unique stage. I also like smaller concerts where things are more down to earth, but the sheer amount of energy made this concert so amazing.

Nice, and thanks for uploading Watch Over You.

Oh my God that setlist *drools*. Got a few questions....

1. What did you think of the "pirate song"? (AKA "All Hope is Gone")

2. How was the acoustic version of "Wonderful Life?"

3. Was the duet "Wonderful Life" or "Words Darker Than Their Wings"?

The only thing they're doing state-side (well, that's been scheduled, anyway) is opening for Godsmack, which is complete bullshit.

Back on topic:

I haven't been to many what I would call "Great" concerts. I went to see some Christian rock band, think they were called Seventh Day Slumber or something like that, with a few friends. It was a fun time, and they were decent at the least.

I WAS going to go to an Alice in Chains concert in Birmingham over the summer (well, more like May), but I came down with a stomach virus and had to sell my ticket.

My dream is to go to an Alter Bridge concert. I found out a few months ago that they literally played 30 minutes from my house in a little small club back in 08, I was pissed off.

To add like Freak did, also feel free to mention concerts you'd like to see. Thanks for the idea Freak.

Myself, I'd like to see a Lady Gaga, Moby, or a Jackson 5 - 1 reunion concert.

I like Wonderwall, and that one song that was in the butterfly effect. Aside from that, I consider Oasis passable.
