Again, just like the topic says, list moments in a movie/game that affected your emotions. A big one for me recently is a certain part in Red Dead Redemption. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't played it and are planning on playing it. What happened made me a little sad, but the way it happened pissed me off. This may sound ridiculous to some, but I did shed a tear when Jenny died in Forrest Gump. The No Russian mission in Modern Warfare 2 left me with a sick feeling. I don't really get emotionally affected when it comes to most games, but a few tend to get to me. |

Games: Spartan Total warrior: Mission 3 do or die. Basically long story short Romans are in Sparta burnign your town. You (main character named "spartan") get a pep talk from your general then you and your army of NPC spartans charge forward and fight to the death (you live)Medieval Total War 2: I was Denmark and had a vast empire stretching from the Baltics to the boundries of Asia near the black sea (about modern day Georgia) I had a "belt" as it were that protected Europe from the nomads from the East. I had lands stretching sea to sea so the likes of Mongols and Russian hoardes could not pass and I protected Europe...... I had one little settlement called Volga with a garrison of about 1,000 soldiers.... 6 armies of Mongols (about 7,000 men) attacked my castle there and I fought the battle myself. Every single Danish soldier fought to the death no one ran and 1,000 died... however 6,500 mongols died, I was so proud However Poland, the Holy Roman Empire and Hungary attacked me in the west, and then the Mongols struck from the east again... so I gave up and deserted my eastern Russian provinces (output was shit and population rioted a lot, besides I didn't want any poor Danes dying for some stupid european states that would attack me anyways) evacuated my army to my scandinavian lands and watched as the Mongols ripped through Europe. It was kinda heartbreaking to see my 1,000 soldiers die for nothing but then Europe learnt its lesson and the mighty Danish Empire lived on ![]() Jak and Daxter 3: this game made me weant to cry The humour in it was brillaint and such a good ending Everyone lived happily ever after like. It was the last decent Jak and Daxter game. Saving the world never gets old....Titan Quest: Basically Cyclops Minoatuars and the shit are taking over the world starting in Greece and you a soldier have to save the world. Mint Also the opening movie where these 3 guards to a temple die is so moving, they died doign their job..... Something stirs me about martyrs ![]() Super Smash Bros Brawl & Gran Turismo 4: Love the opera in the opening movies of each Pokemon: No matter how hard I try I always get attached to my Pokemon. I explain to my friends I'm more of a collector/ breeder rather than a battler. That's why I hate it when peopel use cheat codes to get pokemon, they seem so unlovable. But in contrast to chasing down that pokemon the adreneline pumping through you and then training it to be a lvl 90 beast. RAR RAR LARVITAR Films: Gladiator: The music, the idea of vengence again... stirs something inside me. My favourite film Marley & Me: (Almost cried writing this one) Such a sad ending Especially as it involves a Labrador Retriever the dog that I own. Basically with no spoilers the film is about a family having a dog and raising it from a puppy to an adult. Made me realise how much i love my pets ![]() Hercules: Used to love this film, and something about the songs just give me a warm fuzzy feeling ![]() Probs a big post there :S I'm sure there's more too lol. |

Games: Red Dead Redemption: All I will say is the part where the song "Compass" is playing by Jamie Lidell. Excellent use of a song, and excellent use of imagery in the scene. The Game was a piece of art, and I am looking forward to another installment. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Game, while not as good as Vice City, had 2 endings in it. Both were amazing, but you had to make a sacrifice in each of them (I will not spoil it). Mafia II: A Sleeper hit this year. Some people didn't like this game...but I thought the ending was pretty tear-jerking. Play this game if you like 1950's Mafia culture, or if you are a fan of the Godfather. It's a really good game. Fallout 3: Liam Neeson's Character's death wanted me to fullfill his dream even more. Metal Gear Solid: The Revelation that Liquid Snake is actually your brother, epically done. Metal Gear Solid 4: Many people critizied the game for having too many cutscenes, however, I think becuase of the cutscenes the game was like a film, and I really enjoyed that...I think Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game (Story-Wise) in current existance (However if an Ocarina of Time redux is ever done 'Not including the DS one coming out', I have a feeling it will destroy this game). But the ending of the game, is to say the least...tearful. Which I will not spoil to anyone who has not had a chance to play this masterpiece in storytelling. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: For 1998, this game shattered everything pretty much everyone expected from a game. The way this game progressed, and the ending of the game were just awe inspiring for the year it was made. I really hope that they decide to OFFICIALLY remake this game, not releasing on hand-helds. Films: Watchmen: The Opening of the movie with the Bob Dylan anthem "The Times they are a changin'" is one of the best openings in a film to the present day. Love this movie, and love the opening. 500 Days of Summer: Overall a sub-par film. However, since I am an avid Morrissey fan as I have said many times, I enjoyed his acting in the movie and his cuts in the film. The Use of his tracks "Please, Let me get what I want", "How Soon is Now" and "Suedehead" were well used in the film and were the highlight of the Movie. Rocky III & IV: The Deaths of Micky Goldmill and Apollo Creed were devestating to both films. Great Movies. Titanic (1997): I don't think I have to explain this. Lord of the Rings (Series): Each film had something sad about it. Fellowship of the Ring had the death of Boromir and his confession to his sins. Two Towers had the Helm's Deep Battle. And Return of the King had the ending of the series, all which were emotional. Star Wars IV: A New Hope: The Death of Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back: Finding out the Identity of Darth Vader Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi: The Entire ending of the movie Star Wars I: The Phantom Menance: Everyone bashes this movie so much, to be honest, this is my favourite of the prequel Star Wars film. Yes it obviously sucks, but I really like Liam Neeson alot as an actor, which is why I think I enjoyed this film. The death of Qui-Gon Jinn really upset me as a kid and I really wanted him to come back in the later movies. (Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were complete garbage and every copy of those movies should be hunted down and destroyed.) There's probably more...I'm just lazy to write them down right now. Edited by Maarten_Spetzna, Dec 18 2010, 05:37 PM.

The most emotional moment in a video game is the Part in Metal Gear Solid 4 where you (snake) crawl down the microwaved hall way to get to The server room. The quick cut scene of things like Raiden defending the door from the enemy troops even though he's missing both his arms! Meryl and Akiba fight off people outside the door in front of Raiden and nearly dieing as the confess they're love for each other. and Otacon running from, and fighting off, the scarabs on the Missouri. All the while your frantically tapping the Triangle button to keep crawling even though you're dieing, because you know at the end of the hall is the end goal of the entire series. I'm not gonna pretend i was a man and held it in, i bawled like a baby. |

Red Dead Redemption was just a work of art; it had many great moments. The point when "Compass" plays, "Far Away" when you begin riding into Mexico, and "Bury Me Not on the Lone Prairie" after a moment which I won't spoil. RDR was one the best games (And one of the best soundtracks) I've played in a long time. I miss the Jak and Daxter series, maybe after Uncharted 3, ND will begin work on a much-deserved Jak 4. And I wish Suckerpunch would make Sly 4 (Bought the Sly Collection today :p, love that series). Pretty much every Metal Gear Solid has a greatly delivered or emotional moment. Man, I hope Rising won't be a fail, I just feel like it will be. Assassin's Creed 2: The hanging of Ezio's family was intense, quite frankly because I didn't think Ubisoft could depict 12-year-olds or any other child dying. Legend of the Dragoon: The death of Lavitz. It pissed me off more than upset me when I first played it (I was like 7). He was my favorite character. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion: When you go to Applegate Farm (Think that's the name) during the Dark Brotherhood quest line and find Lucien Lachance's mutilated corpse hanging at the doorway. I was shocked, Dark Brotherhood was the best non-mod quest line in Oblivion. Oh, off topic, but Adam, Get ready for Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim! 11-11-11 is supposed release date. Hell Yeah! |

i haven't finished Red Dead yet, but I'm gonna say im not impressed yet. Red Dead Revolver is one of 3 Xbox original games i still have (along with fable and halo 2) and it will always be one of my favorite games. However, i don't feel like Redemption is a sequel/follow up to Red Dead Revolver. It feels more like a sequel to Gun, which was also awesome. I know it was given Game of the Year at the VGA's and i still have a ways to go so we'll see. My biggest problems so far are; It's impossible to see when it's night time in the game, its just WAY to dark even with all the brightness levels at max. The missions and gun play are the same through out. I know im being hard but i haven't played the whole thing yet so thats all ill say. |

I'm waiting a little before I purchase MGS: Rising. Most people hated MGS: 2 compared to the other ones....Now I am not very fond of MGS: 2 as compared to 1 and 4 (Never played 3 believe it or not). But I must admit...The opening of Metal Gear Solid 2, had the best rain effect I've ever seen in a video game to this day. I have no idea how they did that, but the rain graphic is just awesome looking. Now time to stop being a nerd. The swordplay part in MGS:2 felt so out of place and wonky. I don't think it will work well in MGS series as it is, after all, based around stealth. Now if I have the option to use firearms, I will not care. But I want the option to be able to play Rising like I played MGS: 1, 2 and 4. |

=/ MGS 2 was my favorite, probably because it was the first one i played. i had no idea when i borrowed it and about 4 other games from my cousins the night i got my PS2. i played and beat it 2-3 times before learning anything else about the MGS universe so thats probably why its my favorite. i could probably play it with my eyes closed. I played 3 but never beat it, or 1, i couldn't ever beat REX and for YEARS! i couldn't get past the Sorrow in 3, and when i finally did you have to fight another guy and i lost interest after 2 trys. 3's story just seemed weird to me. the MGS story is far fetched but is awesome, and though 3 was needed to give the oh so important back story into the patriots, i feel like they should have stream lined and simplified it a little. |

Naughty Dog sold the rights for Jak so any future installments won't be made by them and will suck balls. ND made the original 3 crash bandicoots and ctr which were amazing, sold the rights and then the rest were avergae at best. I can always remember the fighters guild quest where you infiltrate the blackwood company and take the hisp tree sap and get drugged basically killing innocent people thinking that they were goblins So sad.AND ORGASM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! been waiting on a future ES :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D |

Oh, I forgot about that. Damn, looks like every series ND does, they make three core games (Crash 1-3, Jak 1-3, Uncharted 1-3), then make a little cart game (CTR, Jak X, Uncharted Carts???? Probably in the future), and then sell the rights to them. Uncharted Carts would be lame, so hopefully the trend stops at Uncharted. |
