| Whats harder?; AoE or Sc2? | |

In my opinion it is harder to be "good" at AoE3. its harder to "pro" at SC2 since theres SOOOO many people that play it, and so many that have for over a decade. but i think over all AoE3 is harder. In starcraft you have small little entrances into your base, and you know where all you resources are. though it might be hard to take a base at least you know where it is and theres always one available. Ever play a map called great plains? even though you know where the enemy is they can attack from any angle. not just from the one ramp into your base. Ever play on Carolina? yea you had one heard of hunts near your base. but there was really only one other large herd and if it was closer to your opponent then pretty much gg yea? thats another thing that makes it harder to be good at AoE3, imbalance, starcraft though it has minor problems is pretty balanced no where near the extreme imba's in aoe. and if you can hold of a 2 rax ashi rush as ports you must be good. |

i agree. AoE3 was the "harder" game. If more people playe dit AoE3 would be harder to be pro at too. But because of the vast amount of players "pro" SC2 is really hard too. On AOE3 you had to manage 3 resources not just 2. The Imbas made it hard to stick with a civ and main it, seeign as so many different civs were top tier and OP throughout the patches. |

id say you had more like 5 resources on AoE3, Food, Wood, Gold, Pop, and XP. and on SC you have 3 because supply is a resource. i think the hardest thing was the fact that the recourses weren't in the same place every game. i remember playing games on GP where i strait up didnt get spawned with a second gold mine.... the base always had 2, my opponent had 2, i got one... still could rape face. |

So yea I think the consensus is that imbalance leads too difficulty lol Another feature of AoE that I think was always more difficult is the number of different possible match ups there were as well. In SC you only have to worry about a total of 3 types. |
