Name: Morcant of the Tarbh Cró

Age: 25

Status: Active

Player: Gleep

Roleplaying graphic detail: Yes, when appropriate. The only major squick is bathroom activities.

Appearance: Morcant is very tall, over six feet, with a shoulder width and a circumference of his upper arms that speak of the strength of an ox. His looks are not deceptive, in this matter. His eyes are deeply set with strong eye brows that lend his face the look of a perpetual scowl, further enhanced by the look in his eyes that tends to make people not quite trust him. His skin is just a shade darker than the fair one common in his clan and his eyes, albeit dark, are still blue, as it suitable. It is the dark brown of his hair that gives away his mixed heritage, speaking of a grandparent who might have strayed outside of the family's territory. He is rarely clean shaven, usually sporting the beginning of a beard, which he bothers to shave off just before it actually becomes one. For one who is familiar with Alban facial tattoos, one might note that his only covers one side of his face and barely that. A warrior of his calibre ought to have earned more of them. But then, he hasn't been on Alban soil for years and who knows if the Master of the Straights will ever let him back home? Or if he wants to go...

Background: Little is known about Morcant's background, other than his clan and that he was a warrior back home. He is not prone to talking about his pursuits back home, so it is hard to discern what his status was, or how it came to happen that he left. What is known is that when he did leave, he did it together with his companion, Doncha of the Eidlach Òr, of whom more is spoken. The two have been constant travelling companions for years, seeking out trouble wherever they could find it in the reckless manner of glory seekers with little to lose, gaining a name for themselves as rescuers of other travellers in need where bandits, or other unnamed creatures roam. It appears that his friend Doncha is the one interested in the rescuing and Morcant does little to discourage this notion, being content to live in his friend's shadow.

Most recently, the two Albans have been staying for years in Caerdicca Unitas, pursuing the career of gladiators and quite successfully too. Word is that they made a small fortune there, perhaps enough that they might have settled down happily somewhere in the countryside, bought some land and raised families. Instead, the two partners in crime sought out Terre D'Ange. Perhaps to find more adventure - perhaps because there, one can supposedly find the most beautiful women in the world.

Demeanour: Morcant speaks a little D'Angeline and a bit more Caerdicci. Perhaps his quiet demeanour might be due to his lacking command of the language, but it is doubtful, as his expression suggests a rather strong distrust. As is expected of an Alban warrior, he is uneducated - it is unclear whether or not he knows how to read - with little appreciation or interest in etiquette or protocol. He is neither intimidated by those who would ridicule him for his barbaric ways, nor tempted by attempts to befriend him due to the small fortune he and his friend made in Caerdicca Unitas. Whatever he's looking for, he hasn't found it yet. Word is, however, that he is rarely seen without a drink in his hand and that no one who has ever tried to drink him under the table, hoping to get him to reveal his secrets, has ever managed to stay conscious long enough to hear him spill his guts.
