Lately, I've noticed that the patch hasn't been very active with people. I know!!! Amazing! No wai!!1 Anyway, another thing I've noticed is the forum is. Although I can think of many reasons to why this is, I honestly don't care. When you decided you wanted to join/joined/other the OOC, you basically wanted to be a part of the patch's community. The Patch's community. Although forums are an effecient way to communicate, the patch is where the cabbage is at, no? So I realized on the forum index it shows who's logged on. Yes, I know most of you know this so don't go, "Omg I alredy no taht!1", I also know that if you sort the list by member name, it shows the time of the users' last clicks. If you see (as in look out for) a lot of people on the forums, finish your buisness there, as they should be doing, and check who's at the patch (like they could be doing). I'm not sure if this would work, but if a bunch of people go to the patch to see who else is there... there's a bunch of people at the patch!!! I know! Awesome, right?! So you can live it up OOC-style with friends, after all, this is more of a community than a cult.

I dont see what your solution is supposed to be.. People dont go to the patch because they dont want to or have other things they'd rather do. Your basically saying "just go to the patch". Those that are new will go anyways, those that have been here a while need more of a reason to go there now it seems. |

What I meant to say was, although I was eating around the bush, that one should make a habit of "just going to the patch" when the forums are active. I really don't see why you need a reason to go to the patch so badly, but I bet a few are somewhere in various OOC Guides. |

Behind every action is a reason to do so. However small the reason. Whether its to pick to talk or play games. Some people just dont want to do those anymore. I think focus should be taken off getting people to go to the patch who dont want too, and put it on making the patch more enjoyable for the people who do go. |

However, if you put the focus on both, perhaps a few who currently don't will have something to go to if they find it enjoyable when they do. |

Focusing on the people who do go would be helping the people who dont go. They see that community at the patch is getting better, giving them more reason to go there. |

But the community at the patch isn't getting better, because so many decide not go there. It all balances out. |

This doesn't really work - I have a moment where I'm at the patch for 3 or 4 days in a row, then I leave and do something else for a week. And the cycle continues. And If I have and overwhelming urge to pick cabbage: Battypenguin has logged out Ooc Batty has logged in No-one picks at a structured time. No-one will. So what Trojan's suggesting won't really work. I'm also way more likely to go to the patch when I see a couple of people on world 7. If anyone sees me on world 7, i'm at the patch, unless a tip.it event is on btw. |

the patch is always empty when I'm on. then again, I'm only on at retarded times on retarded days. there have been MANY weeks that I havent played on the computer, and I have another game that I need yo beat (bragging rights :P) before I do any more RuneScape. |

I have tried logging on several times past couple weeks. . . . Im stubborn ans a crappy computer wont stop me from trying! And everytime there is someone there. I have not been at the patch for more than 5 minutes at a time in about 2 weeks, and its royally bumming me out. But on the plus side I've worked on the forums a lot. Back in our early days, I was on like hours every day, cause I didn't have a band or school. I just worked/partied/runescaped, and when I wasn't on, no one was at patch. Now because of my frequent absences, im actually proud of the fact everyone is going on their own, or to see other people, and not just me. So I think we should look at that positive light. A year ago, in this same situation the patch would be dead. |
