The ^^, unfortunately, is something the guys have picked up. So... It doesn't identify us any longer. Though... I think it's cute when guys do it. XD I want to play FFXIII and Versus especially, SO BAD. They keep pushing back the release though... PLAY SUIKODEN 2. PLAY IT. DOWNLOAD IT. DO WHAT YOU MUST. OMG GREATEST GAME EVER. |

All of the Suikoden games are pretty much the best games ever, except for 4 and Rhapsodia, which are still better than 90% of the JRPG's out there. I like the games so much I would have sex with the main characters of each. And I am a straight man. |

Yeah, I was about to chime in this morning "Suikoden IS good" like four posts ago but sometimes... fuck it, that's why. You know, I think if TST here has any way of viewing past conversations of his on AIM he'd be able to find some SERIOUS dissections of the FF7 plot and storytelling formulas he and I talked about some years ago. (tst look for that shit) |

We had one convo about FF7 plotholes, and one about how stupid easy the game are/how stupid and ignorant people are because they can't beat Sephiroth. I'll post them both.
PART 2: Sephiroth is a shitty boss and anyone who can't beat him is a shitty player.

I'm thinking two things. Seph was a mixture of Jenova, Hojo and Lucrecia (Whatever her name was!). She allowed Hojo to conduct experiments on her while she was pregnant. OR he was the son of Lucrecia and Aeries father whom Hojo decided to experiment on with Jenova cells and Mako. I forgot which one it was. |

Hojo fucked Lucretia and made a baby. Hojo then injected the still-developing fetus with Jenova cells. So Sephiroth has Hojo's brain(IE: broken), Lucretia's looks, and Jenova's power. |

Which makes it ten times clearer and less... problematic that it's usually only Sephiroth's mental projection that you see. That bugged the HELL out of me until Sephiroth's origin was explained (probably by TST for the semi-first time) to me. But yeah. You know what other game really rules ass? Dark Cloud 2. Do I already have a thread for that or just a review? Someone go look (slappy go find it for me or something). Er fuck it I'll do it myself. |

Okay, I personally liked Tales of Vesperia a lot. I played it this summer and it was pretty amazing. Just thought I'd throw that in. I also played Crisis Core and I personally thought it was really good. The fighting was sort of simple, but it could be challenging at some points and the materia fusion and all was pretty addictive. It was one of the only games where I wanted to do pretty much everything. I liked the story a lot and thought it was a really good prequel. However, I'm not very clear on the whole wing thing. I think they took that overboard, but it was still pretty cool. Personally, I think if they went ahead and did a FF7 remake for this generation to become addicted to, they'd have a great chance to expand and explain things a lot better. I mean with all of the Prequels and sequels they've done now, I think they'd have a lot of room to make it more clear so that there aren't as many holes and slip ups. I mean a lot of people who played FF7 when it first came out were very young, I was like ten or eleven. That's no age to understand that crap. Still a fun game, but the plot escapes you at that age. Like Sephiroth isn't actually alive at all? WTF? You wouldn't get that as a ten year old. I certainly didn't. And the fact that it was well explained didn't help. So if they remade it they could focus on making some of that stuff stand out better. Especially with the graphic capabilities they now have. Plus they'd make a bajillion dollars. It's win-win. |

When I was ten I found it pretty easy to understand some of what was going on but it kinda bored me. << If they remake it I would play it because I'm a fan of the series but I wonder if they'd really 'out do their selves.' They tend to 'remake' stuff nowadays by adding a few cutscenes and a maybe a dugeon or two which is nothing special. FF12 was terrible 'new' stuff. I loved Yuri & Rita! =D |

I wasn't interested in FF12 int he slightest. And then I watched my cousin play it and I just became less interested. Maybe it was a bad time to watch, but the voices all seemed bored and just bad as far as voice acting goes. But really Midnight, as far as remaking it goes, I'm not saying they need to rewrite the whole thing. Just fix things up that they maybe missed the first time. Clarify some stuff. And as far as dungeons and quests, I don't really think that's necessary, but I'm sure they have some stuff they'd like to add, I mean they apparently needed two or three more games and a movie to fill things in haha. Then graphics wise, they can do the cutscenes a lot better as seen from Advent Chidlren. That's covered. Voices are covered, you know they will be given the voices now. And in-game action graphics... I'd be very satisfied with just like Crisis Core graphics or something slightly better, but they would likely go all out as far as that goes. I think that they could do it rather successfully. Whether they will or not and how long and how much it will cost, I have no idea. |

What I meant was I hope they can give us something WORTH playing and not a half-assed game they have been dishing out as of late. I was using FF12 as an example because they had terrible undeveloped characters (and reused character design like Laguna & Vaine or Tidus & Vaan), a poor story AND a sucky battle system. With remakes, they tend to just add a few things and not really change anything to 'improve' the player's experience. |

Well what I'm saying is that they would very likely change the graphics, add voices, change the cutscenes, and likely add more of them. That's probably enough to satisfy most people right tere. If they thought they could get away with rereleasing it with the same graphics I think they'd be mistaken. But as for adding to it, I can't see why they wouldn't. They obviously have things they wish to clarify and change and add as seen evidently by the many prequels and sequels they have dished out. And they love money and whether they change a lot or not they are assured to make a ton of money haha. |

A long time ago I said FFVIII was the best FF game, but it's not. Tactics is my favorite (The original not Advance) The Suikoden games are definitely some of the best, but it's a toss up between that and Persona for me. Dark Cloud 2 was awesome. The Tales games are hit and miss for me much like the FF games. |

Tactics is definitely in my top three favorite FF games Dalmar. I liked Ogre Tactics as well. I'm not a huge fan of the Advanced games but they aren't bad. |
