Easily one of the craziest things ever done in FF7

Because in the end, all he was required to do was equip his shit a certain way and pretty much let the battle run itself.

Alright, I admit that. But he didn't use super items like ultimate weapons or anything, nor any of the overly-insane-powerfull materias. He used the most basic of materias, with Ultima being the only extremely powerfull one. To put it blunt; he used materias that are individually not great, and still won. Its only "automated" because he had 6x counter on.

This does not mean he can perform every Genei-Jin combination with 100% accuracy on every character in any situation.

And that is solely beside the point. We're talking about FF7 here. Skill in FF7. Not other games. I doubt he's able to do some of the moves I do in SFA3. Its still not relevant, because he played FF7. Not those other games. And for all you know someone who performs that combination knows jackshit about FF7 and would fail miserably at trying this solo. The two just can not be compared as they are DIFFERENT forms of skill.

I mean, if the guy had defeated the secret boss of Tales of Eternia with only Chat, then I would give him props for it.

Lots of elixers, pine gels, and voodoo dolls, plus chats eternal hammer will do that. Doing this too, requires using items in the correct order and placing in the right commands. Unless you are not refering to Regulus Knoll here and I missed out on another hidden boss?

And the whole point of this discussion is that he could apply the same exact "Skill" he used to beat Emerald Weapon towards playing Fighting games or shooters. Which he CANNOT. Because they are not even close to being the same.

And the same goes vice versa. Like you said the two are NOT the same. So for this game, it would be an achievement.

Look skip, I'm not going to debate the definition of gaming skills with you. We have different opinions on the matter and we both spoke them out. The guy in my eyes did a nice job. Nothing superspecial, but still fun to watch. I won't say he's the greatest gamer in the world, but I will admit doing what he did takes at least a level of strategic thinking not found in a majority of rpg gamers. Thats all. Summing up all the achievements you ever did or things you could not achieve does not change what he did. Thats all I will say on the matter.

There are not enough mentions of me in people's signatures. This should be fixed.

I lurk.

Actually, fanbags, almost the entire thing has been about weather or not the guy would be any good in other games.
