One thing I don’t understand is why people continue to breed to stud dogs that don’t produce. I personally know of several stud dogs that have been bred at least one hundred times and never produced anything. They continue to get breedings. I’m smart enough to know that if I’m driving hundreds of miles and paying for a brucellosis test and stud fee, I want to go with the best odds. If you want to win the big hunt, breed to producers. Don’t be jealous of any man’s stud dog if he can help you! Driver has produced a derby national champion, three hounds with wins and numerous licensed trials places in a handful of breedings.
