When running beagles in Alabama during the summer months mosquitoes and biting flies can be a real nuisance. I've found that bug spry alone is not enough. The best product I've used is Adam's Flea and Tick spray. Before going into the woods spray your cap and the collar of your shirt. I always wear a long sleeve shirt. It helps to keep down scratches from the brush and briars. NOTE: Keep the same cap and shirt in your hunting truck. Don't wash them. Each time out spray on a new application of the Adam's as well as your favorite bug spray...Remember, don't wash your shirt and cap...And don't make the mistake of wearing them inside around your "sweetie pie." When you get back from running, leave them in the toolbox on your hunting truck. A word of caution: This does not work for Rattlers and Copperheads.
