Jamie the Silver Creek picnic is on July 20-22. Things are a little different this year. They are going to move everything up to Sat. instead of Sun. The Auction and Raffles will all be on Sat. while the larger crowd is there. They will be doing this before they have the MAB Awards Ceremony. They will still have a breakfast Sun. Morning and everyone will be more than welcome to stay and swap dogs and run and whatever else they may choose to do. Hope to see you all there. Sam Butler will prolly run an article in the June H&H explaining all the details.

Redbird------If at all possible, you need to go to the Silver Creek Picnic, at least one time ! Debbie and I have gone the last 3 years and truly enjoyed each year. You can meet beaglers, and their families, from all over the eastern half of the USA. Great time for fellowship, good food, to meet new people, watch some dogs run, buy & sell dogs, puppies---and on and on. If you go, please try to find Debbie and I---would enjoy meeting you ! fred

Redbird...........I too agree with Fred, it's a blast that everyone should attend at least once !...............I for one wish there were more FC's ran, but certainly understand the reasons why some aren't shown in the field !.......It's an action packed event all w/e and has something to offer for just about anyone.

If you get to attend, make sure to bring along a couple of those jump-dogs for a demo run. LOL...... I'd like to watch !

Heck, we might even get ole Clyde to put down a few......

If nothing else, there is enough food to feed an Army ----- I know how those Southern preachers like to eat !

Are you hinting about the "challenge" being held at Silver Creek? :)

Anytime is a good time for me. It doesn't get to thick for my dogs. They will get into the thickest briars and toss those rabbits out in the path. After a killing frost would be better for you and a mowed pen with a brush pile would be even better! :) I hope that one day next rabbit season we can go hunting and have a blast.

I am still thinking about going to Silver Creek. Is anyone else from this side of the Mississippi going? I need to get a jump-dog there if I dont go.
