Member Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #380 Joined: May 29, 2008	we are not full blown trialers but really respect what you guys do and breed. we have been running spo style hounds i guess for at leat 13 years. had some of the worst luck with hounds this year. lost silene she was 12 years old and hunted till the day she died. she was on her way to being a fc when she decided she was not going to run with strange dogs. thats how we got her. she had non stop hunt i think it was the lineboss in her. lost her around the first of the year. then lost billy a 3 year old hound out of robert e lee. great hunt and smooth and strait up the middle. little to easy for trialing but picked up some speed. he died from unnone causes or incompetant vets. then 6 year old echo daughter of silene died of an infection caused by a stick that went in her mouth and made a wound. first vet could not find it. took her to another vet and they found it but it was to late. lost her. this all happened in about a month and a half. we were now do to 2 hounds tammy and blu. decided to breed tammy so took her to richard swayer and bred her to in-line black axle but it did not take. so we decided to find some started hounds. we bought 2 this years derbys and a 3 1/2 year old all otis bred. we been running pro. got them about a month ago. had to break the 2 derbys off deer. heres a clip of the best run with our new hounds. they burned this bunny up for 2 hours. dave http://s101.photobucket.com/albums/m60/davehu/?action=view&current=faab81fd.pbr

Member Posts: 12 Group: Members Member #380 Joined: May 29, 2008	thanks. it always rough loosing hounds but 3 in a month was just not right. will be checking out some trials this fall. we did not think we would be rebuilding for a few years but things happen. still hope to breed tammy in a year or 2. she is out of robert e lee and has great line controll and check work. we think she would do well in gun dog brace so may have to take her. dave
