"Oh, I see," He said, nodding. "Yeah, I remember learning about that in school, lots of cool pictures to go with it." He added, smiling at the memory.

"So, what was it really like to live back then?" He asked, looking at her curiously. "I mean, if you remember, of course."

Arabella laughed lightly. "I remember living...just not exact details. Well for me it was very...proper. I was supposed to be a proper lady, I went to balls, and girls finishing school to learn how to attend a home properly. I learned basic languages and art forms. I know how to walk, sit, stand, talk, and dance like a proper lady. Nothing was every out of order for me, and I was always obedient. Sitting with the ladies while the men were away at Gentlemen's club and such. Not to mention the avid teas and occasional callings* from men."

*Calling back then was when you were invited to visit or someone came to visit you.

Maxwell stared at her, intrigued by everything she was telling him. "Wow..." He said simply, blinking for second, then he looked away, it was improper to stare, he thought with a smile. "What a...different life." He mused softly, looking back at her again, but at less of a stare.

Arabella blushed lightly and trailed her eyes towards the ground. "Yes...it seems that way...doesn't it..."

"Well, yes, no one in my time ever experienced any of those things. There were no balls, or tea, or just learning how to work a home."

"Really?" Arabella suddenly said looking up him. "Would you care to tell me more?"

"Sure," He said, nodding. "Women could do anything they wanted, they were in the work place, running things... And instead of balls, we just had parties, or concerts. And we all went to school to learn about lots of things, like the world, and other cultures, and other species, and how to write and read. Everyone got equal learning."

Arabella sat there in shock. "Wow..." she merely uttered.

"W-what changed it all...the way of life...and made women...seem...equal..." she was hearing these bizarre words that she could barely wrap her mind around, confused and in disbelief. She was hearing things she could never even dream of.

"Well, in my mind, women have always been equal to men." He replied, looking at her confused face. "But it all mostly started after the whole women's rights movement, with voting rights, and such. I always thought that it was a good thing, and I'm glad it happened." He said with a proud smile.
