I just got Mark of Kri for $4 at a pawn shop.

It's a mix of Don Bluth-like animation, Metal Gear-style stealth, and Conan the Barbarian-like violence. And it can be unforgiving, especially on those who don't practice.

These are by the same developers of the upcoming SH title. I'm curious: Do you think they'll do a fine job on it?

From what I saw and read in EGM, so far, it's a safe bet.

God of War II, the newest acquisition to my PS2 library.

Been kinda busy so not a lot. For the PSP I've been playing Tekken Dark Resurrection and Namco Museum. On the XBox 360 I just got GTA 4, and I rented Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but haven't had time for that yet. Too bad, since I'm itching to try RSV2, and GTA 4 is a lot of fun from what I've had time to play. :D

I just got Final Fight Streetwise yesterday for PS2. Despite the silly plot, licensed music, and bad camera angles.. it's actually a wonderful game.

Did I mention that I'm currently on a total Metal Gear bender? I've beaten Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, MGS for the Game Boy, and I'm in the midst of Metal Gear Solid 2. I'll move on to beat MGS3 and MGS: Portable Ops, the latter of which I have not beaten before.

Well, now that I've got more free time on my hands, I thought I'd give a slight update for the games that are taking up most of my time:

Console: GTA IV
Portable: Crisis Core: FFVII

Simple, but effective, right? ;)

Bangai-O Spirits

I'm at level 30-ish, and it's fantastic so far, but I don't really like the fact that you can edit the levels in the main game, or the fact that every single one seems to be available from the word go. It just detracts from the sense of focus, slightly, and makes the whole game feel a bit like a level designing kit with a fuckload of in-built stages, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

It becomes 10x more fun once you figure out what the 14 different weapons do (they used kanji rather than icons on the selection screen), and find yourself a setup that seems to work well in as many stages as possible. I love using the big baseball bat to twat little enemies into big ones!

I think I'd rather have seen a more traditional Bangai-O game with a lot less in the way of impenetrable menus, but it really does grow on you after a while...

Magna Carta: Tears of Blood
Wild ARMS 4
Front Mission 4

Resident Evil Outbreak
Resident Evil Outbreak File 2
Onimusha 2
Onimusha Blade Warriors

Xbox -

Star Wars KotOR
Final Fight Streetwise

Hey, Sam, how familiar are you with the Onimusha series? It's a game that I've always thought has looked interesting, but I just never really got much into it. Don't know why, since it involves Japanese demon-hunting, and that should be incentive enough to get me into something...

Anyway, after a hiatus on my Metal Gear jag (which I took to play and beat Shining in the Darkness), I've resumed by taking on Metal Gear Solid 3. I... sucked trying to rescue Sokolov, but it wasn't a total botch. It just took me several tries to not get detected by assholes.

I'm actually not at all familiar with it. I only briefly played the first one many years ago and recall thinking it was fairly cool. I hear that they're somewhat self-contained, and that playing them out of order will be alright. Blade Warriors is supposed to be a little bit like Super Smash Brothers, which sounds neat, and it also has Mega Man characters as unlockables, which is the real reason I got it.

I'll tell you what 2 is like once I give it a shot and if I think it deserves a high place on the priority ring for future titles. Unfortunately, I hear the voice acting is really, really bad. One of my friends says it's the worst voice acting job Capcom has ever done, and this guy is a fan of Resident Evil.

I'm still not playing anything yet, though. Since I ordered that PS3 and don't have a PS2 to PS3 memory card adapter, yet, I'm going to wait to play any of my new PS2 games until I have the PS3. I don't want to start playing them on the PS2 then want to play them on the PS3 and not be able to transfer my saves.

I'm thinking about playing and finally beating Metal Gear: Ghost Babel in anticipation of MGS4, which I'll be picking up my special edition of on launch :D

Ice Blox (Java) - A fairly simple but addictive clone of Pengo. Having not played Pengo in years, I'm finding this game bringing back fond memories of the Sega classic that inspired it.

Naw... didn't like that one for some reason... I think it was too dark and too hard to see and the character design options were very limited. In CoH, the character designs are nearly limitless.... Everyone looks different. And it's more futuristic. I like that part, too.

But right now I have been playing Geometry Wars and Project Gotham Racing 2 on the original XBox. I recently found out that Geometry Wars (now made popular by XBox360) was included in PGR2 via a hidden game in the Garage section of the game.

I found that out by reading a comment when looking online for Geometry Wars. I was happily surprised that I already had the game. :D

Jade Empire again...

Now that game has some choices. Be straight, be gay, be lesbian, get two chicks into a threesome with your character... I think it may be a trailblazer in that regard.

I replayed MGS in one sitting day before yesterday and went to go pick up my limited edition copy of MGS4 today.

<_< <_< <_< <_< <_<

Unfortunately, my PS3 wasn't only delayed in shipment but is also late getting here (it should have gotten here today). Two weeks of waiting to play it on launch foiled by those bastards at the postal service (it's not their fault, but it's nice to have a target :(). Ah well, hopefully tomorrow.

Adding insult to injury, if I didn't already mention this, I ordered a game to play for my PS3 while waiting for MGS4's launch, which was Resistance: Fall of Man. I got it on time, but since I didn't get the PS3, I've now got TWO PS3 games waiting for me. Arrgghhh lol.

Why didnt you just get the PS3 bundle that comes with MGS4? It comes with the limited edition of the game. Oh and Resistance: Fall of Man is a really good game in my opinion.
