I'm just playing BC:R and a few other XBLA games at the moment, trying to re-achieve some of my old scores on the new account. :p

Gonna buy the full version of Galaga Legions tomorrow, because it rules the school.

Just beat Super C without dying. Playing some other NES games, too.

Congratulatories. I only did that once for Super C, but TWICE for Contra. Yes, people, it's doable. :D

I've completed both games without dying several times. Needless to say, I rock. :smug

Pfft. S-rank the entirety of Contra: Shattered Soldier. THEN I'll concede that, you do, in fact, rock... or more than me, at least. :lol

A friend of mine did this who definitely is not as good at games as either of us. He said you get bonus credits the more you play and by the time you've played several hours, it's really not that hard.

Your mate's right! I think this is true of all of the Contra games, really. Their reputation as being the sole domain of constantly-practicing shut-ins is really unwarranted. Give a total newbie a week and he should be able to single-credit the normal mode on Contra 3, just playing 2-3 games per day (it's only about 20 minutes long, after all).

The toughest one is usually just the one you haven't spent quite as much time with. For me, that's Hard Corps.

Shattered Soldier is one of the easiest to improve at, because its the most methodical and memorization-based one, which for most of the game means that the only real variable is you.

Anyway, been playing nothing but Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven lately.

I'm currently between Vagrant Story, Castlevania-The Dracula X Chronicles, and a free MMORPG called, "Brain Chef."

Concept and controls for Brain Chef are quite simple, and you can choose to either play as a human or a zombie.

Rock on!

Planescape Torment and Parasite Eve are one of my favourite RPGs

EDIT: Two of my favourite RPGs. Well this is what happens when you run for 2 hours every morning and then try to sit down and concentrate on what your writing. -_-

AWESOME, they're ONE of your favourite RPGs?! That's pretty crazy.

I'm having lots of fun with them actually. They both offer different aspects of what I want in a game.

Well, I hope you do. However, since I've never played it, I can't promise a great experience.

Running through quite a few Mega Man games on the Anniversary Collection to make sure my review is adequate. Should have that done later today or submitted tomorrow with the X Collection, too, Rob! Sorry for being so damn crazy late on these. Got sweeped up by a lot of Xbox Live Arcade games released recently, like BC: Rearmed... even did a couple guides for it I've got up on GameFAQs :p

Also thinking about going on a NES spree after that. I want to beat TMNT for the NES since I never did when I was little, and I want to beat Shatterhand and Metal Storm because I've only briefly played them before and they're awesome.

Super Mario RPG ^_^ Memory served right, this game is still just as fun and charming as I remembered it to be. While I'm not a big Square fan and not a big Mario fan, this game somehow blends the best of the two of them marvelously. I was originally waiting at the start screen for something like a half hour afraid that my nostalgic memories would betray me and I wouldn't like it as much anymore. Totally forgot Peach was still Toadstool in this one. This was definitely one of her best appearances, if she had this much personality in other Mario games I wouldn't hate how boring the series has become.

Also, played through Gley Lancer again, today, the last boss was a bit harder than I remembered. Played some Fantasy Zone and Super Fantasy Zone, too (bought all 4 of these games off the VC today). Hooray for Cute 'em ups, I guess. I've never really gotten into Fantasy Zone, but since Rob likes it and since the shmup series 2 little capsule toys has an Opa-Opa figurine (which I'll be ordering sometime between eventually and later), I figured it was a good time to try and generate some interest. The original Fantasy Zone is bullshit hard and Super Fantasy Zone seems like I'll beat it in the next week or so.

Also, also, Gley Lancer's "import" version on the VC, as I discovered, is the exact fucking same as the original. All the menus that are in English already were in English. Honestly, I was expecting the story to be translated. While it's all well and good that Nintendo brought the game over here (it's one of my fav shmups, despite being a bit generic), what the fucking hell are they charging extra money for if they don't do shit to change it? Tsk, tsk, lazy. They should show a little more interest in giving us some incentive not to just download ROMs. I'm a huge (something like 500 bucks now) supporter of the VC, but come on, get your act together. It's bad enough the games don't have extras and cost as much as they do.

I'm a reasonably big fan of Mario, and I thought Square was THE shit in the SNES era. This game is proof positive of that, and I think it might be my favorite RPG of all times (though the line is very close between this one and Earthbound).

Yeah, well... I look at the bright side of this: At least you don't need any story text to know how to play a shmup. :lol

And that's why I played it a few months ago, before it was on the VC <_< If I'm gonna pay extra for something, I want the text, at least. I like the game a lot and was interested in the story. Plus they did stuff like translate menus on S&P and little other things in other imports, I mean, really, why so lazy, here?

At least the HG101 article had a rundown on the story. Sorta. I still don't know too much about it. :S

I patched up Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines and am having another play through, along with S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

I miss playing on a console oddly enough, however... I'll probably buy a Ps3 next week or something, depends. But it looks like I won't be getting hold of a Limited Edition of Metal Gear Solid 4 either way. The bastards want £200 for it, what a joke.

Rampage: Total Destruction (PS2.)

The original trio, George, Lizzie, and Ralph, make their triumphant return, along with a whole bunch of other monsters, smashing major cities across the globe and resisting efforts from Scum Laboratories to deep six them.
