Ah yes, I can see where that would be an issue. |

Yeah, so now every time I download stuff off of there I gotta do a bunch of crazy mumbo jumbo. It was worth it. And I got like EVERY demo I wanted to try out. It'll help narrow things down. |

I'm not playing much right now due to college (I think this is my second consecutive day without playing ANY games whatsoever :ph43r: ), but when I'm taking a break at home, Castle Crashers is currently my largest attention of focus. This game seriously kicks ass, and for me, that's just on my lonesome. With two or more, it's probably one of the greatest games of the entire YEAR. |

Just beat Life Force again. Only died 3 times. Once on stage 3, because I fucking hate that stage, and twice on the escape out... with one of the times being just a split-second from getting out :p

^ You could just dig deep and get a PS3 :D It deserves most of them, really. The only award I can think of that I'd award to another game (I'm not really thinking of many awards, though, and only trying to do realistic ones) would be best soundtrack to BC: R. |

Probably, but doesn't it just piss you off to have something win damn near everything? It would be like The Dark Knight winning every award it receives, and I thought TDK was awesome. Sorry, it's just some inherent peeve I have.
Heh, I'll take that. |

Mikey, you know me, everything about gaming publications and their judgments piss me off :lol You don't have to ask that. There have been some other universally acclaimed games released this year, too. In all honesty, GTA4 is probably going to sweep everything. While I actually liked GTA4, I don't think it deserves quite as much praise as it got and will be pissed with everything it wins (though not that much because I've gotten used to critics being full of shit). Fallout 3 is due out this year, too, and with how much critics fellated Bethesda's dick with the ridiculously fucking overrated Oblivion, I won't be surprised to see Fallout 3 a vast number of awards (at least it looks cooler than Oblivion thus far).
;) It's great. And this is coming from someone who didn't get into BC till BC:R's release. You can tell that "may be biased, having grown up on the NES game" in your HG101 article to sod off, because you aren't. I agree with you nearly 100% on the game and its greatness and I don't have any childhood memories other than being frustrated enough with the ability not to jump to return it before beating stage 1 to taint my judgment :lol |

I'll admit I was just blowing off some unrelated smoke earlier... and maybe there's a slight inherent bit of lateral envy for not having a PS3 yet. :lol Awards are hype-chargers of the highest order, and even if the game deserves it, it's just... ANNOYING. I really can't put it any other way. Though, since I utterly love the Metal Gear series, I won't be asspained if MGS4 reaps every award possible. It's just going to make the wait for a PS3 harder, s'all.
Aw, garsh. ^_^ Well, if I really have that much influence, I'm seriously hoping to get my Actraiser article off the ground and encourage people to play the first game. I originally tried to persuade gamers to give the second game an honest shot, but after mulling on it for a bit, I decided I can't do that. I intended to make the case that it's a fine action game that's a bad sequel, but due to massive programming irritations here and there, I can't even say it's the best example of the action genre. I digress, though. I love the original's soundtrack so much, but Viklund's renditions TOTALLY RULE SO MUCH. I'm re-listening to the rendition of "Leap of Faith," and I'm picking up on a rolling percussion segment in the background that I didn't hear before. Bitch-ing. |

I've been playing the DS a bit recently: Naruto - Path of the Ninja (I'm liking this one, not played an rpg in ages) Contra 4 (soooo hard! but really great game...and the 1st stage tune's really catchy!) I've also been playing Castle Crashers & Naruto - Rise of a Ninja on the X360. |

Beat Shinobi 3 and Gradius 3 again. Managed to one credit both of them (not like that's really much of an achievement with Shinobi, though, heh). I almost one life'd Gradius 3, but fucked up on that damned double walker boss. Managed to go smoothly after that, though, I forgot you want to go above them so you can bomb them and kill them quickly. |

Beat Axelay on hard mode! WHOOO! It's unreal how much fucking more challenging that game is on hard. I WOULD have one credited it if it weren't for fucking stage 5 and it's fucking bullshit. Too many enemies in that stage that can collision kill you in one hit out of nowhere. Love the boss for that stage, though. I beat the last boss with one hit left on my ship and no lives, hahaha. I think that qualifies as "pulling a Braunle." Edit: On a whim, I googled "Pulling a Braunle" and found this - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nsCbH653pFc&feature=related Someone in the comments used it... I wonder who that is... |

Lately it's still been Diablo. I've also been playing Mega Man Anniversary Collection on Game Cube, Mortal Kombat on Game Boy, and Splatterhouse on my Turbo Express (TG-16 handheld, like the Genesis Nomad). |
