Most of these are at the "pricey, but you'll probably still cave in and buy it" mark, and aren't actually rare or anything...

Games like Ketsui and Mushihimesama Futari are the ones you have to make big decisions about, and I've decided that no game is quite worth £700+ ($1500-ish). I'd really, really like to play Ketsui (and I might play a port on the 360, one day), but they can shove it up their arses.

It's the arcade stuff that really makes you want to cry, too. Stuff like the PAL version of Kizuna Encounter.

I wish... too bad I refuse to sell anything that I really like, and that's... 99% of my collection? I know that rare 1% includes the first two Tomb Raider games which I still have somehow... I should think of booting those.

I wonder if my original copy of Pirates Gold for the Genesis is worth anything

By which, one hopes, you mean slamming the heels of your Doc Martens down onto the bastards. ;) :p

I think that would void their monetary worth. :lol

PIRATES! I sadly do not have Pirates! Gold in cartridge form, but for my money, it's the greatest rendition of Sid Meier's classic than I know. I'm not even into simulation games for the most part (is it simulation? I dunno), but it's a great title to play for the long term or (in my case) short bursts.

Now as for Shadowrun, I'm sad to admit I have not played any of the games. I really should get on that, though. Question: I know this is like comparing apples to roast beef, but do you prefer the SNES or Genesis game?

It's not just the carts that are valuable, either. On Amazon.com, I noticed that copies of Lunar: Eternal Blue and Lunar: Silver Star Story, both for the PlayStation had a pretty hefty price tag. $100 per game, minimum. And that's just for the discs WITHOUT an instruction booklet. For the total package, you could be shelling out a bank-breaking $150 per game.*

*-If that don't hit your wallet right where it hurts, you're probably richer than hell, you lucky bastard.

Out of that entire list, there's only one game I'd buy, and that's because I used to own it and know firsthand exactly how fucking awesome it is.

First one to guess it gets a cookie. *

I can picture people who had these games when they came out and traded them for something stupid like Donkey Kong country ect. who now spend each day cursing themselves for their stupidity.

I'm still thinking of selling my Castlevainia: SotN to get the money up (Hey, it only cost me 2.99), in great condition and with music CD, no artbook though.

I couldn't believe when the person told me how much he was selling it for. He obviously though "Well, it's a PS1 game, it won't be worth much"

You snooze, you lose :lol
