We have an okay numbers of soldiers all who is fill by our government members. But we need non-government officials to serve in the army. Government official have alot of duties to do, if we can recruit more and recruit more into the army. We wouldn't count on government officials but that of the people of the USE who serves in the military.
All of this is connected to recruitment, if we recruit more, our military will grow in which the government official doesn't have to count to remember a raid for a small region but that of our soldiers.

Certain Members of the government who fall into the military hierarchy where given Military rank ie the PM , DPM, and Minister of Defence. It is only to show those who hold rank in the defnce force command structure. but now im thinking it might be best not to confuse as long as people understand that structure maby there isnt a need for politicians to hold a position in the Military

for the Military, rather than have the navy, airforce, etc.., i normally just had a standard sign-up sheet and the guy we banned 2 weeks ago had the idea of having regular activity checks for the military.
i dont have anything against using the terms for navy, airforce, marines and so on but i think a normal sign-up sheet would be the foundation for our military and then for those who sign-up ask them which part of the regions defence force they'd like.
we should also make a ranking system with the symbols beside each rank so we know who's at what level

I, respectively disagree and think that government officals should be allowed to hold military positions

Government officials may hold military ranks in my opinion. And I agree with Mr. Daniel.

Although I hold no disagreements with military positions being held by government officials, I do have have to agree with the fact that most politicians will be overworked as it is. The integration of directly military involved personnel seems like the best solution.
Of course, it isn't a simple task of finding active nations as it is. So for the time being it seems more of a necessity that government officials hold key roles within our military structure. After we gain more nations for military service, the politicians should step back to a more indirect role. I also agree with the Minister for Culture, in that it may be better to open enlist people directly into the military, then elaborating where they should be posted.

If we have a substantiel drop in military maybe a draft is the best choice?

That sounds like a fair plan with what Director Acervia say. Until we can recruit more nations to serve in the military, government official may have high ranking position in the armed forces. But once we have a stable non-government soldiers in the military, the government officials will have to resign from their post in the government to let the "new blood" take up leadership in the USE Armed Forces.

I don't think we should conscription people in the military. It be given up their free will to not be in the military if they don't want to.

At first I didn't agree with the notion of a draft, as put forward by our Minister of Defence. However, after thinking it over if the situation does become that our overworked politicians cannot free themselves of military duty due to lack of personnel, maybe making it compulsory for nations to at the very least "assist" in the military defense of the USE, isn't such an outrageous idea? It seems a tad extreme, but at the same time very workable.

Of course... this should only be left for such a situation as described above... freedom is of great importance, within the USE.
