Oh hey Im actually not dead

Hey everyone! Welcome to The World Above! First of all I'd like to thank you for stopping by, hopefully you'll have a fabulous time! Here's a little bit about my forum- TWA is a fairytale forum, so there isn't really a time period. Think somewhat medieval. It is set in the kingdom of Auraloca, a beautiful place in the World Above. Before I get ahead of myself, I should probably explain the World Above and the World Below. The World Below is essentially where we live right now, but still in the fairytale stage. The World Above is a magical place miles above us which can only be accessed via a beanstalk. Before you started thinking castles on clouds, let me tell you that it is NOT in the sky. There is, in fact, firm ground. It's simply far, far above the World Below. You have to pass through the sky (AKA the World Between) to get to both the Above and the Below. Time doesn't really exist in the Above, so the risk of going to the Below is that you just might find yourself in a totally weird time period. Now that that's out of the way, I can FINALLY explain the beans and such! (In case you haven't noticed, I'm not a patient person!) So anyways, this forum is set in the World Above. There's a castle, a town, a spooky forest...everything except citizens! That's your job. You are the citizens, whether you choose to be a high-up lord or lady or the most lowly peasant. Sometimes when there's lots of drama going on, you might want to journey to the World Below, and in that case you need....*drumroll* a bean! The beans aren't just your usual lima bean. They're white with red speckles on them, and they are quite magical. In order for a beanstalk to grow, you must throw a bean over your left shoulder and let it land where it wills. But DO NOT look back! That part is vitally important! Just let the bean work its magic. In a few hours, come back and you'll (hopefully!) have a beanstalk! Use your beanstalk, do what you need to, blah blah blah. When you're done with it, chop it down! If you have permission from me,you can leave it up, but if not, then down it goes. Occasionally we'll have a public beanstalk, but if not, you can't use someone else's beanstalk unless they give you permission in front of the plant itself! Ever heard the expression 'Walls have ears?' well, beanstalks have them, too! Should you omit that step and climb the beanstalk....ker-splat. Down (or up, if you're in the Above) you go! One last thing: you may not just randomly find a bean! An admin must give you one. Now that I've got that over with, Happy RPing! ~Fidelity |
